New Super Mario Brothers DS Help?
I’m a really bad person for games where you have to press buttons and defeat enemies manually. So, i got a new super mario brothers game for a DS lite. So i want a person who is really kind of experienced, preferably a person who has got up to world 4. How do you save games? How do you get the second star coin that’s on the high ledge in world 1-2? How do you escape that big purple fish that eats you in world 2 the first level? Do those minigames do anything to your game, like give you points or something? Please tell me how to defeat those little spiny eggs/turtles? how do you kill that turtley thing with glasses on a cloud? help me with world 1.
Also, How do you buy a new path?
Well, I’ve beat the game about 7 times, and I know every single thing about it. I have bad memory though, and I haven’t gotten out my NSMB in a while, so these have about a 30% chance of mistakes.
To save a game, buy a path (more about that later), or beat a world. I believe that you also can just beat a fortress to save.
To get the second star coin thats high up on that ledge, well, I can’t help you out much. I’d need to look at my game to see that. However, did you know you can do wall-jumps? Thats right, just jump over to a wall, and when you hit it, jump and walk the other way at the same time. You should kick the wall and jump a bit higher.
Big purple fish, eh? I’m not sure what they are called, I guess they are big mutated cheep-cheeps. To escape him, jump out of the water if he tries to eat you. Look for platforms for further options. Just try not to fall in water.
Minigames do not affect the game.
The spiny eggs/turtles, I have never heard of. I assume that they are those red guys that you cant kill by jumping on, right? If so, you need to take them out by shooting them with a fireball (collect a fireflower first), using an invincibility starman (it looks like a geographic star with eyes), or smashing them by collecting one of those really big orange mushrooms.
As for the turtle cloud dude, his name is Lakitu. He tosses down the red spineys, so you need to deal with him. To kill him, just find a high platform, and jump on his head when he floats over to you. If you do kill him, you can take the cloud hes on.
Finally, to unlock new paths, you must get 5 star coins. Then go to the sign, try to go whatever direction the sign is in, then if a pop-up doesnt appear, press A there. Confirm it after that.
