What are some non-profit organizations that would be willing to send things to give out to kids?
I work at a camp called Camp Silver Beach on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. I am interested in e-mailing a few companies (like VERB) to see if they are interested in shipping us something fun to hand out to the kids that are actively participating in our activities. (something like wrist bands). Do you know of any companies that would be good to shoot for?
You need to contact companies in your local area about donations. But keep in mind that they get dozens of requests a week and often take a month or more to make a decision. I don’t know what kind of camp this is, but they are more likely to give to camps for kids with special needs or low-income parents. You will probably be required to fill out an application and possibly supply financial information. Remember the economy has been very tight so many companies do not have the ability to make donations anymore.
