Mario Brothers

I’m looking for two different movies.
Both of them are from the 90′s, I think.

The first is almost a kids movie, about a young kid who’s talented at playing video games, and he’s traveling with his older brother with a car, cross country, to some video game competition where I believe he plays Mario. There’s also a girl with them that they pick up on the way. The younger brother thinks its fate that they found her. Also, I remember a scene where the older brother tells the younger to try and chew on a piece of tin foil, he tells him that if it hurts then that means he has special powers.

The second movie, is a very childish comedy, but I loved it.
It was about three guys or so who are at a beach house. The only thing I can remember about this movie is that one guy has the ability to summon volleyballs and have them shoot at anyone he wants, all with the flick of his finger. Really funny.
